2013 has been a thoroughly deserved breakthrough year for Cardiff-based noise-poppers Joanna Gruesome; an explosive twelve months seeing them release debut album Weird Sister, play Pitchfork’s showcase at the CMJs in New York and support Los Campesinos! on tour.
Now, the band have delivered a BTR Live Studio session. They performed highlight track “Secret Surprise” whilst they were over in the States, with the resulting live performance even outdoing the chaotic exuberance exhibited on record.
