James Blake played the Governor’s Ball in New York on Sunday (8 June) and treated the crowd to his take of Bill Withers’ “Hope She’ll Be Happier”.
Taken off Withers’ 1971 debut Just As I Am, Blake’s cover is suitably emotional, and from the background noise in the clip the audience certainly seemed to appreciate it.
