Here’s the official clip for a track that’s been on heavy rotation here at The Line Of Best Fit for a few months now. Icona Pop – Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, two Stockholm based DJs – make the kind of infectious, bloody-minded synth pop that Göteborg also-rans Cat5 promised us back in 2005 but never quite delivered.
The video is as enthralling and instantly rewarding as the music; a-glow with neon makeup and kalaiedescopic visuals – a feast for the eyes and ears then. Expect the debut album to drop at some point later this year.
