Pioneering sound effects unit, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop appeared on BBC’s The One Show last night, performing the Doctor Who theme tune, originally composed by Delia Derbyshire, to mark its 50th anniversary.

The Radiophonic Workshop was recently revived by electronic maestro Matthew Herbert, proceeding to reissue seminal collections on vinyl.
