Watch: Alpines – Cocoon

Currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album with The Horrors/Portishead producer Craig Silvey, Alpines have revealed the video for their new single ‘Cocoon.’ Having recently signed to Polydor, the South-West London duo will be releasing the track on 22 August. As elegant and sophisticated as we could hope for any brooding pop number, Catherine’s pure, rich voice penetrates the sparse, underlying keys while her long brunette hair flicks dramatically against Bob’s shuffling beats. A distinctly avant-garde take on electronic pop, the pairs aesthetics and slick sound are really quite mesmerising.
