London is set to get its first ever library dedicated entirely to vinyl.
The Vinyl Library will open at the beginning of July in East London’s Stoke Newington area and aims to create and foster a community of music enjoyment and open up the world of vinyl for those not able to fund a varied selection themselves.
The non-profit enterprise has been founded by Sophie Austin and Elly Rendell and will rely on the generosity of the public to flesh out its catalogue; membership is free to anyone willing to donation records. Non-donators will be asked to pay a small membership fee to cover costs. The library will be taking drop-offs from 1 July in person at Unit 1, Foulden Road, Stoke Newington, N16 7UU.
