Major label heavyweights, Universal Music have set up a crowdsourcing initiative to help re-press rare and out-of-print vinyl releases.
The project is, quite aptly, going by the name of The Vinyl Project and comes under Universal’s Uvinyl offshoot company. Among the list of releases currently being considered for a second run include Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged, Sonic Youth’s Goo and Pulp’s His N Hers.
This follows on from a similar venture from Beat Delete earlier this year, which aimed to reprint vinyl lost in London’s Warehouse fire.
