UK music magazines see drop in readership

Several UK music print publications have seen a marked drop in readership over the last six months.
ABC figures show NME to be the worst hit, with a 16.6% decline from the year prior and 3.7% in the past six months alone.
Elsewhere, Metal Hammer‘s readership fell 14.8% in December 2012 compared to that of the year previous. Free magazine, The Fly have also experienced a drop but only marginally, with average circulation decreasing by 2,000 in 12 months.
More figures can be found here. It was recently announced that IPC Media, the publishers behind both NME and Uncut, would cut 150 jobs.
