Watch: U.S Girls – The Island Song

The moniker of American born Meghan Remy, U.S. Girls released her debut album U.S. Girls on Kraak via Kraak Records at the end of October and has now signed to Fat Cat in the UK. Filled with dark droning synths, saccharine pop vocals and oddly compelling percussion ‘The Island Song’ is a cut from the aforementioned record and has also been released as a 7” single by Calico Corp. Directed by Remy herself and edited by Ross Turnbull the track’s new video features home video style watched out beach scenes and some sort of seaside ritual.
