Twitter are set to release a music app within the next few weeks, reports say.
The social-networking giants recently acquired audio discovery platform We Are Hunted and are looking to integrate it with their brand.
The app will recommend music to users based on what Soundcloud tracks are currently being shared, which accounts they follow and their friends tastes.
According to MusicWeek, the project, aptly named ‘Twitter Music’, will feature four main tabs of discovery: ‘Suggested’, ‘#NowPlaying’, ‘Popular’ and Emerging’.
It follows Twitter’s recently-launched video app Vine.
