Following the release of their beautifully captivating and intricately arranged debut single ‘Microlite’ back in November, Oxford Blessing Force trio Trophy Wife have been snapped up into more ‘Ones To Watch 2011’ lists than I care to count. Set to put their money where others’ mouths are, vocalist and guitarist Jody Prewett, keyboardist Ben Rimmer and drummer Kit Monteith will be releasing their second single on February 28.
Due out via Moshi Moshi, double a-side ‘The Quiet Earth’/‘White Horses’ promises pulsating beats, sparse rhythms, stunning instrumentals and delicate vocals. If you’re still not convinced the three-piece have a string of live dates planned in the UK alongside Esben and the Witch, (read the new TLOBF interview with them here).
