Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh writes HBO comedy about EDM with Calvin Harris
It might be Calvin Harris’ strangest collaboration yet, with the Scottish DJ teaming up with fellow countryman Irvine Welsh for a new HBO comedy about electronic music.
Yes, as Deadline report, the Trainspotting author is developing a show for the U.S cable network about the recent EDM boom. Welsh has approached Harris for advice and guidance on the project, which is being produced by Jay Z’s Marcy Media company and Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment. Jay Z and Smith themselves even have executive producer credits too.
It’s not yet known when the series will launch, but each episode is expected to be half hour in length. More news as it develops.
