TOY to livestream show in aid of Attitude Is Everything
The psych-rock quintet will headline a Club Attitude show at Islington Assembly Hall which will be streamed online.
Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and XFM’s Jo Good will compere, and support comes from Hatcham Social, Hulkenburg, and a DJ set from Heavenly records; the event will take place on Tuesday 24 March.
The event is hosted by Club Attitude in conjunction with Attitude Is Everything to "showcase exemplary live music accessibility for deaf and disabled fans."
By partnering with live-stream service Living Indie, Attitude Is Everything aim to "highlight how technology can help address some of the challenges facing disabled audiences." The stream will also feature captioned lyrics (provided by UK charity StageText) for the benefit of deaf gig-goers.
The livestream will run on The Quietus and new streaming start-up Living Indie from 7pm GMT on 24 March. The last remaining tickets for the gig are on sale here.
Co-founder of Living Indie Niels Footman, said of the event: "We’re passionate about bringing concerts to people who can’t be there in person, which is why we’re so thrilled to be working with Attitude is Everything. Music is one of the most social and emotional experiences there is, so it’s an honour for us to be bringing thousands more fans to Club Attitude via the stream, where they’ll also be able to interact online with music lovers watching the gig all over the world.”
