Torches to release single on Fractions Of One
We know what you’ve all been thinking: “Does Charlie from Torches still play shows during this heat in full fedora-and-overcoat attire?” and “Just when will the new Torches single be out?”
Well now at least we know one of those two conundrums, as the London group are set to release new number ‘Sky Blue & Ivory’ – the very first single out on new label start-up Fractions Of One (which just so happens to be manned by our very own New Music Ed, Josh Hall).
As premiered earlier today on the Guardian music blog, it’s the most grand we’ve heard the brood-rockers so far as their drum hits reach new celestial heights. Listen for yourself below and pre-order the 7″ and get an instant download of the track.
‘Sky Blue & Ivory’ is to be released on Fractions of One come 23 July, with a very special Launch Party being thrown at The Sebright on 26 July. Head to that to find out the other question on everyone’s lips as summer approaches.
