Tool to release new album in “early 2014″
Avant-metallers, Tool are set to put out their first record since 2006 – but you may have to wait until early next year to listen to it.
The LA band, known for their varying and progressive style, last dropped 10,000 Days seven years back with a follow-up currently in the works. While the fifth LP release had previously been tipped for a 2013 release, now it looks like it’s been pushed back a bit.
Drummer Danny Carey recently Loudwire that while things are steadily moving on with the recording and composing, it’s unlikely to be out ”before Christmas”.
“We’ll see how it goes,” Carey continued. “Most likely, it’ll be early 2014.”
Tool have yet to confirm that a new album is indeed on the way, however, despite Carey’s repeated revelations.
