TLOBF Sessions are hiring; wannabe film-makers enquire within
Love music? Wanna help us makes movies?
We’re looking for wannabe film-makers and photographers to help us film The Line of Best Fit Sessions.
You may have noticed that we recently took our first steps into producing our own session videos. The response we’ve had so far has been incredible and we’re now filling up the diary with a long and exciting list of bands for the coming months.
And we’re looking for some help.
You might be a wannabe music photographer who’s eager to take advantage of the HD video on your high-end Canon or Nikon. Maybe you’re a student studying photography or film-making and want some work experience. Give us your time and what you’ll get is the opportunity to work with us filming some of the most exciting and inspirational new music around.
You’ll be expected to put aside a couple of hours per session for shooting both A and B reel footage (ie shots of the band performing as well as close ups/cutaways etc) which you’ll provide to us for editing.
Although this is a voluntary role and unpaid, we can guarantee you’ll get valuable experience out of the role – we’re also happy to provide references for future employment and you’ll be credited alongside the finished film. For the right person, there’ll also be opportunities to take more of a central role in the creative process if things work out.
So what kind of people are we looking for? You must be a reliable and enthusiastic soul with a love of music and a basic understanding of cameras and filming. You’ll ideally be in possession of your own gear – namely HD video capable medium-to-high end DSLRs or similar – and be London-based, although we’re happy for out-of-towners providing they have their own transport and no problems coming to the capital.
Passion is more important than experience so if you think you might be the right person, drop an email to paul@thelineofbestfit.com telling us why we should bring you on board.
