Tkay Maidza and Yung Baby Tate unite on new anthem "Kim"
Tkay Maidza has returned with new Yung Baby Tate collaboration "Kim", and sees the duo honour the iconic Kims of pop culture.
After teasing a new Yung Baby Tate collaboration last week, Australia's Tkay Maidza has unveiled the full single, which sees the duo pay homage to famous Kims.
"Kim" marks Tkay Maidza's first outing since last year's Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 2 EP, and is the first collaboration between Tkay Maidza and Yung Baby Tate.
The track, produced by Dan Farber, is accompanied by an Adrian Yu-directed video that sees Tkay Maidza recreate looks from Kim Possible, Lil' Kim and Kim Kardashian, including Kim K's iconic and internet-breaking PAPER cover.
Tkay Maidza says of the track and video, "The idea for the song came from Kim Possible, an iconic figure in my childhood - she always came out on top. I thought why not make a song to remind those who question me that I will always figure it out like Kim. From there when we started planning a video we thought why not recreate iconic moments from other iconic Kims across generations."
