Timbaland working on posthumous Michael Jackson release
Uber-producer, Timbaland has decided that recording two albums with Justin Timberlake this year, as well as one with Jay Z plus dozen others, isn’t enough, confirming his involvement with an upcoming posthumous release from Michael Jackson’s estate.
According to the hip-hop titan in a now-deleted video interview with Revolt.TV, Epic Records will release a yet unnamed title from Jacko, with a track called ‘Chicago’ singled out as a lead single.
The news is a curious revelation, given that – as Consequence of Sound note – Timbaland has previously criticised Drake for using Aaliyah samples in tribute tracks.
There’s been no due date currently set for this upcoming release.
