Hip-hop DJ and broadcaster, Tim Westwood has left the BBC after a reshuffle of presenters at stations Radio 1 and 1Xtra.
Westwood had spent nearly 20 years with the Corp, most recently hosting a Saturday night show on both channels. The “urban”-focussed 1Xtra have announced that MistaJam, Charlie Sloth and DJ Target will now replace the veteran host on Saturday nights.
Westwood had previously been removed from his drive-time slot last year, with this new shake-up among many in recent times at the Beeb.
