Ticket exchange service Twickets launches iPhone app
Twickets, a fan-to-fan ticket exchange service, have launched a new app on the iPhone and is currently the iTunes New Apps chart.
The company, owned by Future Platforms, allows gig-goers to swap or sell tickets for face value or less.
Founder Richard Davies said:
“The mission behind Twickets is simply to ensure that empty seats are filled at any UK event, no matter how big or small. On average 10% of tickets go unused and through Twickets we aim to drastically reduce that number.
What is important to us is that this is done in an ethical way such that ticket holders receive back what they paid and purchasers pay no more than face value. Our community helps us police that as and when necessary.”
Twickets will launch an Android version of the app later this year.
