Thurston Moore's black metal supergroup Twilight announce new album, then break up
Twilight, the black metal “supergroup” founded by Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore, have announced a new record, shared a track and broken up in the process.
Moore formed the group in 2012, joining forces with Stavros Giannopoulos (Atlas Moth), Wrest (Leviathan), N. Imperial (Krieg) and producer Sanford Parker. III: Beneath Trident’s Tomb is their last attempt to “destroy all rational thought”, as Moore put it.
The record will be released on 10 March in North America and 17 March across Europe. Listen to album opener “Lungs” beneath.
The LP’s tracklist and artwork are below:
1 Lungs
2 Oh Wretched Son
