Hurricane Sandy, the storm set to sweep the East Coast of America this week, has disrupted a series of gigs in and around New York.

The xx, Grimes and Cat Power were among the big names forced to cancel over the weekend, as well as Ghostface Killah, Rusko, Louis C.K and more.

The xx had postponed their tour dates in New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore, but will announce additional dates later this week.

Hurricane Sandy is set to cause record-breaking flooding, it has been warned.
