David Simon, best known as the man responsible for cult U.S TV show The Wire, has revealed his next project: a musical based on The Pogues.
According to Rolling Stone, Simon has already handed in a first draft of a script to Irish theatre company Druid.
Simon had previously hinted at the project in the past, calling Shane MacGowan one of the “great lyricists and storytellers of our time”.
