The Weeknd is the latest artist to be confirmed as a performer at this year's BRIT Awards, which takes place in London next week.

Abel Tesfaye, who performs as The Weeknd, is up for International Male Solo Artist at the 2021 BRIT Awards, going up against Bruce Springsteen, Burna Boy, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala, and has today (5 May) been announced as the latest performer for the 2021 ceremony taking place in London next week.

The Weeknd will perform at the BRITs 2021 alongside Coldplay, Arlo Parks, Dua Lipa, Griff, Headie One, Olivia Rodrigo and Rag’n’Bone Man & P!nk with the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Choir.

Last month it was confirmed that this year's BRITs would be the first major indoor music event in the UK to host a live audience. 4,000 are set to attend the 2021 ceremony at London's O2 Arena next week, with over half of the seats going to frontline workers.

The BRIT Awards 2021 will take place on 11 May at London's O2 Arena, and will be broadcast live on ITV and ITV Hub. Visit brits.co.uk for more information.
