R&B singer and former The Temptations member, Otis ‘Damon’ Harris has passed away at the age of 62.
Harris, who started his musical life in a Temptations tribute band as a teenager, was a member of the legendary soul group from 1971 to 1975.
He was fired from the band in 1975 after inappropriate statements made in public, going on to release solo record on his own.
Harris was diagnosed with prostate cancer at 47, later founding the Damon Harris Cancer Foundation in 2001.
He lost his battle with cancer last Monday (18 February). Our thoughts are with Harris’ friends and family at this time.
