Austin, TX’s The Sword have announced plans to release a new album this August via Kemado Records.
A band known for helping revitalise the metal genre over the last 10 years, their previous two records have been, well, immense slabs of guitar riffage. The new album will be called Warp Riders, and is pencilled in for August 24th release. Produced by Matt Bayles (Pearl Jam, Mastodon, Isis), Warp Riders is anchored by an “epic science-fiction narrative. The storyline is a psychedelic space opera that explores temporal themes of death and rebirth”. Brilliant.
