In this week’s Nocturnal Emotions podcast with Har Mar Superstar, Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes fame revealed that he will be dropping a new five-track EP this September through Cult Records, the label owned by his band mate Julian Casablancas.
Hammond revealed that he plays most of the instruments on the yet-untitled EP, with a lending hand from Matt Romano on drums and Strokes collaborator Gus Oberg on production.
It will be Hammond’s first solo release since 2008′s album ¿Cómo te Llama?. The first record released by Casablancas’ imprint was the latest effort from The Virgins.
