It may sound like the gloomiest disco known to man, but The Roots’ front-runner Questlove is set to DJ tracks by “artists who left the party early” for World Suicide Prevention Day.
The event will take place on 10 September at New York venue Trash Bar, with the gig also marking the launch of new book Killing Williamsburg by author Bradley Spinelli.
A press release reads: “Some people burn bright and blow out, so let’s celebrate the wonderful music of people who exited too early. Nirvana, the Plasmatics, maybe some INXS? I’m sure Questlove will throw us some curves.”
