The time has come; the first single from The Roots and Elvis Costello’s eagerly awaited collaborative album has finally surfaced, accompanied by a lyric video.
‘Walk Us Uptown’ is the first track to be taken from the musicians’ forthcoming album Wise Up Ghost and features Costello’s distinct husky tone flowing over Roots’ funky composition.
The music video shows Elvis and Roots hanging out and a spinning a record behind cuttings of the words to the song.
‘Wise Up Ghost is out out September 17 via Blue Note Records. Check out the video for the single below.
