The Replacements unveil rehearsal video for reunion tour
Newly-reformed The Replacements have shared a (very) short video of them rehearsing ahead of their first live shows in 22 years.
The Minneapolis band recently reunited to record their first new material in 23 years in January, a decision made to help raise funds for the recovery of their ailing former member, Slim Dunlap, who suffered a stroke. The group released the Songs For Slim EP digitally on 5 March, with a 12″ vinyl getting a physical outing a month later.
They’ll now play a flurry of live dates, specifically a trio of Riot Fest appearances in Chicago, Toronto, and Denver running throughout August and September.
The inimitable Har Mar Superstar recently tricked people into thinking he was joining the group as a live musician, a statement he swiftly denied after everyone took it a bit too seriously.
