The Replacements to play first live shows in 22 years
Punk legends The Replacements are to reunite for their first live outing in 22 years later in 2013.
The Minneapolis band recently reformed to record their first new material in 23 years in January, a decision made to help raise funds for the recovery of their ailing former member, Slim Dunlap, who suffered a stroke. The group released the Songs For Slim EP digitally on 5 March, with a 12″ vinyl getting a physical outing a month later.
Now, they’ve announced a flurry of live dates, specifically a trio of Riot Fest appearances in Chicago, Toronto, and Denver. These will run throughout August and September. No other future dates have yet been planned.
