Friday is set to become the home of the Official Chart Show as the world moves to a universal release day.
From the summer, with all records (in theory) being released on Fridays, Greg James will begin hosting the chart rundown during his drivetime slot from 4pm-6pm. The show will be cut by an hour to ensure the rest of the station's lineup isn't affected.
To be eligible for the chart rundown, the record will have to be released on or before 00.01 Friday morning the week before.
This hasn't been the only shake up of BBC Radio - they will also eviscerate their live music coverage, despite it being one of the most popular facets of the network.
