Ever-busy Brooklyn band, The National have confirmed that they’ll contribute an original song to the soundtrack for an upcoming The Hunger Games film.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will hit cinemas on 22 November, with the alt-rock group offering up a track called ‘Lean’ (originally titled ‘Dying Is Easy’).
“The song almost didn’t make it because it was too dark,” Matt Berninger recently told NME. “Which I thought was sort of funny because is about killing kids. I don’t know how a song can be darker than that?”
Coldplay are also set to feature on the movie’s OST.
