The Maccabees to release new career-spanning boxset featuring unreleased material
The Maccabees are set to release a huge new boxset featuring all of their studio albums, a disc of bonus material, and the Elephant Days documentary.
London's acclaimed indie troupe announced their decision to disband last year, and have played a series of farewell dates this summer as they bow out with class.
The set, titled The Maccabees - The Complete Collection, is a "limited edition, one-off " release featuring "reworked" original art from frequent collaborator/longtime pal Matt de Jong.
As well as 2007 debut Colour It In, follow up Wall Of Arms (2009), third album Given To The Wild (2012), and 2015's final LP Marks To Prove It, the new set comes with a bonus vinyl disc featuring B-sides and acoustic editions of beloved faves. It also features unreleased song "Nimm", which was recorded during the Marks To Prove It sessions.
Each set also includes a download card for all the releases and bonus material - plus "additional rarities not found on the vinyl".
The Maccabees' feature-length doc Elephant Days, directed and shot by James Caddick and James Cronin, is also getting its first-ever physical release. Additionally, as well as this deluxe boxset, both Marks To Prove It and Elephant Days are getting a separate CD/DVD release.
