The Flaming Lips share details for new King's Mouth record
The Flaming Lips have shared details of their forthcoming King's Mouth record, alongside releasing lead single "All For The Life Of The City".
Last weekend 4000 lucky people grabbed a copy of The Flaming Lips King's Mouth album for Record Store Day. Today the group have announced the album officially, as well as releasing their "All For The Life Of The City" single.
The new album takes the same name as Wayne Coyne’s art exhibition, with the music being described as a "sonic companion" to the art installation.
Adding an explanation on the King's Mouth, Coyne says, "The King’s Mouth immersive/child-like qualities are born from the same spark and womb as The Flaming Lips live performances. The King’s Mouth adventure was made for humans of all sizes, ages, cultures, and religions."
King's Mouth features 12 new tracks, all with narration from The Clash's Mick Jones.
