The Flaming Lips, who are prepping a new album for release next month, will also premiere a feature-length and entirely iPhone-shot film at this year’s SXSW festival.
The movie, which the band are calling “the world’s first vertical iPhone movie”, goes by the name A Year in the Life of Wayne’s Phone and will be shown at the Austin music showcase event, followed by a Q&A with frontman Wayne Coyne.
SXSW 2013 runs between 8-17 March. The Flaming Lips, on the other hand, release new record The Terror on 2 April.
