The Concretes announce release date, cover art and tracklist for WYWH
Back in April when we premiered ‘Good Evening’ we knew little or nothing of what to expect from the forthcoming Concretes album WYWH. The late-night disco infused track was a step in a new direction for the band, for sure – but would it translate throughout the rest of the record?
Nearly four months on, we finally have the new album in our hands and can safely say that the three year wait has been more than worth it. WYWH is without doubt the strongest and most consistent album The Concretes have made to date. It’s the disco album the band had previously hinted at, yes – but it’s drenched in an infinite sadness that only a band like the Concretes could muster. Lisa Milberg has never been in finer voice.
WYWH is released via Something In Construction on November 4. Cover art, track-listing and video teaser below. For those impatient for more, head over to the bands bandcamp page for a suitably glorious remix of ‘Good Evening’ by fellow Swedes Eden Rock.
