The Acid release soundtrack for hard-hitting film The Bomb
The Acid have released their soundtrack for The Bomb, a full-length feature with art direction from Radiohead collaborator Stanley Donwood.
The film dives deep into the world of nuclear weapons and looks at how they've shaped society in the decades since their development. Smriti Keshari (Food Chains) and Eric Schlosser (Command and Control, Fast Food Nation) produced the film, which was co-directed with Kevin Ford (Three Days, By The River).
"The topic of this film is very important to us, it's a story which needs to be told to a generation that needs to hear it," says The Acid’s Adam Freeland. "It's been an honor to collaborate with some of our heroes on the bomb. It's turned into something even more powerful than the sum of its parts. Three people passed out when we premiered it at Tribeca Film Festival."
Freeland, Steve Nelipa, Jens Kuross, and RY X released debut LP Liminal as The Acid in 2014. Check out our live session performance of "Basic Instinct", which featured on the album.
