The Aces return with new single "Girls Make Me Wanna Die"
The Aces have returned with their first new single of 2022, "Girls Make Me Wanna Die".
"Girls Make Me Wanna Die" is The Aces' first new material of the year, following their 2021 single "Don't Freak", and is, according to the band, "a nostalgic call back to our adolescence and shared experience of being young, queer, and painfully in love with your best friend."
The Aces continue, "Everyone remembers that feeling. So many ‘what ifs’, so much longing. Every single look and touch meant something. We wanted this song to feel desperate and full of youth, so we stripped it down to how everything started back when we were kids, jamming in the basement. Guitar, drums, bass, and a distorted vocal."
They're yet to follow up their 2020 album Under My Influence.
