Tegan and Sara discuss growing up gay for new "It Got Better" video

Tegan and Sara have contributed a video to “It Got Better,” in which the siblings share their story of growing up gay in Calgary.
“It Got Better” is an offshoot of the It Gets Better Project that features LGBT celebrities sharing their personal stories of struggle and success. In this installment, Tegan and Sara discuss their childhood in conservative Calgary, Alberta. The siblings recall their tomboy youth and middle school bullying as well as the initial discovery of their sexuality and the ups and downs of their coming out.
