TDE boss Top Dawg says Kendrick Lamar "will return soon"
TDE CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith has asked fans to be patient as Kendrick Lamar "will return soon".
Kendrick Lamar was due to headline a large number of festivals around the world this summer, including Glastonbury, before the coronavirus pandemic caused the live music events to come to a halt.
The rapper hasn't released new music since his collaborative Black Panther album that landed in 2018. However, it looks as though new music isn't far away. Yesterday (18 May), Top Dawg Entertainment boss Anthony Tiffith wrote a comment on Instagram that reads, "Stay patient king Kendrick will return soon."

Back in January, former Billboard editorial director Bill Werde wrote about some rumours he had heard about Lamar's new album, "Did anyone not named Beyonce release better, more meaningful back-to-back albums last decade than Kendrick Lamar? Are you interested to know that I hear from several friends that recording on the new album may finally be done? And that he’s pulling in more rock sounds this time?"
