Taylor Swift has been forced to cancel a scheduled concert in the Thai capital of Bangkok due to ongoing political unrest in the country.
Announcing the news on Twitter, the Red singer said that “due to recent events” the show would now longer continue as planned. Swift subsequently sent her “regret and sincere apologies to fans in Thailand”.
The show would have been Swift’s first in Thailand, previously planned for 9 June. The unrest derives from a military coup by the Thai army.
