Tame Impala team up with REVERB to make their tour more environmentally friendly
Tame Impala have confirmed they're teaming up with REVERB to reduce the environmental footprint of their upcoming world tour.
Tame Impala's forthcoming tour for latest album The Slow Rush will see Kevin Parker and his live band tour Australia and North America from now until August.
In an attempt to reduce their carbon footprint and waste on the tour, Tame Impala have teamed up with REVERB to introduce some initiatives for their upcoming shows.
As part of their Eco-Village plans, Tame Impala and REVERB will put water refill stations at shows in a bid to reduce single-use plastics, as well as connecting with nonprofits to create a positive impact on the local communities.
For their touring, Tame Impala will fund projects around the globe that help directly eliminate greenhouse gases. They will also donate unused food and toiletries from hotels to local shelters, and the band and tour team will be armed with reusable water bottles and insulated mugs. Recycling will be available at the shows, backstage, and on their tour bus, and they plan to use environmentally friendly cleaning products at shows and on the road.
