Taken By Trees announces new Tough Alliance produced LP, Other Worlds
The irrefutable talent of Victoria Bergsman returns this year with the third album under her Taken By Trees moniker. Announced earlier today via Gorilla Vs. Bear, the album – called Other Worlds – was produced by former Tough Alliance maestro Henning Fürst and is inspired by Bergsman’s recent time spent in Hawaii.
A quote from Victoria Bergsman about the forthcoming release, due out via Secretly Canadian on October 2.
“I remember two songs that really triggered the whole ‘Hawaiian/tropical’ album idea and kept hanging on through out the whole process of the album as sound and feel atmosphere. The first song was the instrumental track Diamond Head by The Beach Boys and the other one is Augustos Pablo’s song AP Spezial, also an instrumental track. Both of the songs have beautiful nature sounds added to them of waves, thunder and birds. The Beach Boys song turned me onto pedal steels and the Augustos Pablo song turned me onto the more dubby feeling.”
With the release so far off, unsurprisingly there’s no teaser song released just yet. However, you can watch an Amanda Marsalis-directed trailer for the album below. All of a sudden we’re counting down the days until autumn…
