Game of Thrones is about to return for its final season, and Pitchfork reports that there's some huge stars behind a new song that will feature on the eighth season.

A source told Pitchfork that The Weeknd was approached by Game of Thrones to create a new song for the show, and he has since enlisted the help of SZA and Travis Scott.

The rumours have been circulating on Reddit, as well as a Travis Scott fan page, although its yet to be confirmed.

SZA has worked with Travis Scott before, on her CTRL album track "Love Galore", and Travis Scott has worked with The Weeknd on his Rodeo record track "Pray 4 Love", and his Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight song "Wonderful".

The first episode of Game of Thrones Season Eight premieres on 14 April on HBO.
