The driver involved in the hit-and-run car crash at Austin’s SXSW festival last month has now been charged with additional violations.
Driver Rashad Owens had already been charged with murder after speeding through a street full of pedestrians at the Texan music showcase event. Two fatalities had been confirmed at the scene, with two more victims dying in hospital later.
Now, Owens is facing 20 new counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bail has been set at $3 million.
