Chapel Hill alt-rockers, Superchunk have announced a new album – and it’s called I Hate Music.
The LP follows on from 2010′s Majesty Shredding, which was the band’s first since 2001, and is said to be a “dark companion” to that release.
I Hate Music will come out via Merge on 20 August, with the deluxe edition offering an extra 7″ of non-album tracks, plus an “I Hate Music stencil”. Which is always good.
Check out the album’s tracklist below:

2 Me & You & Jackie Mittoo
3 Void
4 Staying Home
5 Low F
6 Trees of Barcelona
7 Breaking Down
8 Out of the Sun
