One of our favourite discoveries of last year, the mighty Summer Camp, have just announced details of their debut EP Young. The follow up to the universally loved debut single ‘Ghost Train’ will be released via Moshi Moshi on 6 September, with lead-off track ‘Round The Moon’ released on 7″ vinyl the week after.

There were early worries that the debut from Summer Camp might not live up to the original excitement that surrounded the heavily blogged ‘Ghost Train’ and ‘I Only Have Eyes For You’, but after hearing the EP we can confirm that there is no hint of Summer Camp letting the quality of their opening salvo slip.

‘Round The Moon’ sounds like Bruce Springsteen gone chill-wave , whilst ‘Veronica Sawyer’ evokes memories of a certain Louise Wener from 90′s shouldabeen’s Sleeper (*both reference points being a good thing in my book*).

‘Round The Moon’ 7″ tracklisting:

  1. Round the Moon
  2. It’s Summer

Young EP tracklisting:

  1. Round the Moon
  2. Was It Worth It?
  3. Veronica Sawyer
  4. Why Don’t You Stay
  5. Ghost Train
  6. Jake Ryan
