Multi-instrumentalist and multi-medium collaborator, Sufjan Stevens has revealed he is set to pen new material for an upcoming New York ballet.
Stevens, who last released a record during 2010 in the form of The Age of Adz, will spend the summer writing and recording music for a new recital choreography by Justin Peck.
This is the second time Peck and Stevens have teamed up, previously working on the ‘Year of the Rabbit’ ballet in 2009, which took music from Sufjan’s 2001 record Enjoy Your Rabbit.
This new ballet is scheduled to premiere in May 2014.
