This, the latest from the ever brilliant Big Scary Monsters label, is a joy to behold. Noumenon make noise. Danceable noise. It’s the sound of Foals and Lightning Bolt being fed into a blender. There’s pop hooks, epic riffs and shredding guitars.
The band, over on their bandcamp site, are offering you the chance to pay WHATEVER YOU WANT for the EP. If payment was directly proportional to quality, this would cost thousands of pounds. This is joy. Unadulterated joy. The sound of a band having a riot in a studio and distilling the experience for your aural pleasure.
